People bring their laptops, resulting in being distracted or disengaged. This leads to ineffective meetings, which give people more excuse to bring their laptops in order to make use of the time.

The number and duration of meetings in most organizations needs to be reduced, but that will first require the participants to go “all-in” to make the meetings more productive.

If you really want to get crazy, suggest people turn of their smart phones as well 🙂
